The doctrine of justification therefore becomes the touchstone for testing at all times whether a particular interpretation of our relationship to God can claim the name of 'Christian.' At the same time, it becomes the touchstone for the church, for testing at all times whether its proclamation and its praxis correspond to what has been given to it by its Lord" (LV:E 69). - "An agreement on the fact that the doctrine of justification is significant not only as one doctrinal component within the whole of our church's teaching, but also as the touchstone for testing the whole doctrine and practice of our churches, is - from a Lutheran point of view - fundamental progress in the ecumenical dialogue between our churches.

At the Communion in Methodism, the wine is non-alcoholic and is administered in small glasses rather than a shared cup. According to them Mary was just the way for JESUS to come on this earth. she is not a god to be prayed. she was just a human being. But the antipapal aspect of it can easily relate to an anti demiurge, and Ialdabaoth perspective. The divisions within the churches of the Reformation also served to forward the Counter Reformation within the Roman Catholic Church, which rewon Poland, Hungary, most of Bohemia, and part of Germany.

"Whether it be a racial minority, an ethnic minority or, in our case, a sexual minority. On the other hand, Protestantism’s message exhorts the believer to be faithful and give witness (pro-testari, declare publicly) to God’s saving grace. Teach holiness as the mind of Christ through the fullness of the Spirit. However, with what is said in scripture and proclaimed by Christians universally (until the Reformation) about apostolic succession / the laying on of hands / the unity of the Church / the ability to bind and lose things on earth that will be bound and loosed in heaven, we should take this seriously ( Matthew 18:18 ).

In addition to their opposition to the growth of secular influence in society, the Fundamentalists are distinguished by belief in 1) the inerrancy of the Bible (or more technically in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible), 2) personal salvation by accepting Christ as their saviour in what is often called the born-again experience, 3) the personal, pre-millenial imminent return of Christ, 4) an evangelical or revivalist desire to reach out to save and convert others, and 5) acceptance of most traditional Protestant beliefs such as in Trinity, the Virgin birth, and the existence of angels and devils.

Williams of Kansas City, Missouri was elected. Though the reformers were concerned with ecclesiology (the doctrine of how the church as a body works), they had a different understanding of the process in which truths in scripture were applied to life of believers, compared to the Catholics' idea that certain people within the church, or ideas that were old enough, had a special status in giving understanding of the text.
