The narrator's spirit guides us through the Phantom World as well as connecting worlds. Born to an industrialized supply line of universal organ donors, Ziggy was bred to look like an ordinary piglet even if his eyes, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, intestines and heart are, more or less, human. Most of the Acadians (or ‘Cajuns) in the stories are much poorer, living off the land, farming or fishing or working for the Creoles. Famous stories like “The Robber Bridegroom” by the Brothers Grimm, “Tailypo,” and “The Golem” are included, as well as retellings of stories by some of the world’s greatest authors, including Nathaniel Hawthorne and Washington Irving.
